My building inspector says that I have to put House Wrap on the outside of my house
before I finish the exterior work even thou I have built my house right to the roof with ICF.

If you are building right to the roof with ICF you DO NOT want to use a House Wrap.

Note: Your Building Inspector is there to enforce the Building Code ONLY.
Not to override what your Engineer has stamped on your drawings.

If your Building Inspector does override what your Engineer has stamped,
Your Building Inspector now becomes responsible for your structure, which is not his job.

Your Building Inspectors job again is to enforce the Building Code! If your Building Inspector does want to override your Engineer’s Stamp, call your Engineer.

Note: During your building you want to have a good relationship with your Building Inspector. Your best power is to have done your homework. Building Inspectors can really make your project a challenge if you get on their wrong side. When you get your building permits and it has things on there that is not on your Stamped Drawings call your Engineer talk to him about your Building Inspectors wishes.

Note: When you get your Building Permits call your Building Inspector, ask him what they would like you to do and Why!  Never tell your Building Inspector what you are going to do unless you end with "What do you think?"  Those who do it their way end up butting heads with their Building Inspectors!

ICF Construction Group Inc. are not Building Inspectors or Engineers. Please call your Building Inspectors and or Engineer to answer your Questions.
They have the knowledge and resources to best assist you!

Happy Building!
